The assignment was to make anything we wanted using 12 rods (bamboo skewers) and 12 planes (4"x6" Bristol Board). We were to explore unities of opposites. My idea was the relationship between peace and chaos. My ending model was a transition between these two - starting with a building-like structure that is straight and lined up then collapsing at the bottom and forming chaos outwards. For the chaotic planes, I got the Bristol Board wet and folded and crinkled it up then let it dry. This created an interesting texture that I liked and felt that it represented my ideas well.
